Going beyond the original can be risky and often results in losing what the audience enjoyed, but Good Omens successfully goes beyond the original to strengthen the bond between (Aziraphale) Michael Sheen and Crowley (David Tennant).

Season two of The Summer I Turned Pretty relies on common tropes and conventions associated with coming-of-age narratives that fail to make the series stand out in this romantic genre category. Episodes border on repetitive with performances that lack in energy.

Outlander Season 7 lacks any meaningful stakes or adventures. Conflicts arise, but as soon as they are discovered, they are resolved or the characters do not react to them. While the season is off to a rushed and rocky start, new characters do breathe a breath of fresh air into the show that promises an interesting rest of season.

Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies stands on its own with colourful and catchy songs. With a modern, more accountable take, it is an almost perfect homage to the smash hit movie but gives more layers to the characters.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is a good companion series, had it focused on Charlotte and not gotten lost with side plots to ensure that it could be classed as a Bridgerton story.
